Christmas at the Mansion Photos
I’m still battling this dumb eye infection and bronchitis, but at least I am not contagious!
Since I wasn’t contagious, I did have a great time at the craft fair last Saturday. I thought I would share a few photos of my booth. One of my daughters helped me set up on Friday night, and then another one helped me (along with some good friends!) work the booth on Saturday. The Saturday-helping daughter rearranged what the Friday-helping daughter had done. Kids!

I know this is late notice. I do apologize for that. If you are friends with me on facebook, you know that I have been making tons of cute things for this upcoming sale, as well as being not so well.

Anyway, on to the important details!! I am participating in the St Mary’s of Nazareth Church’s craft sale this year! Woot! It’s at 4600 Meredith in Des Moines. Here is a link with the map to it. I’ll be there from 8 am til 4 pm. Well, let me amend that a tiny bit. I HOPE to be there, but if I’m not, my things still will be. My daughter and a friend and her daughter will be there.
I’m running a special, too. If you mention seeing this online, you will get a free gift! Fun, huh?
We set up tomorrow afternoon. I’ll try to remember to take some pictures to upload tomorrow evening to show you.

Spooktacular Sale…Getting Ready
So I got invited to be in this fall/Halloween sale next Sunday at Wildwood Lodge. Awesome!
But now I am scurrying like a squirrel to get more fall/Halloween things ready. My room is a PIGSTY! It’s awful!
I am confessing to you and indeed, the whole of the internet that I am a messy creator. Good thing the Lord didn’t ask my help when for those 7 days….I’m not very tidy! I think I would have had some left over stars or something. LOL!
I’ve included some pics, so you can see how bad it really is.
I bet it doesn’t get cleaned up til after the sale, either. Oh well. Life is rough all around, huh?
P.S. I will post more about the sale later. I just wanna tease you about it now. But it is Sunday, Oct 24, from noon til 4 pm in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Next week, I clean up my room! It hasn’t really been clean since May or so, I am sorry to say. In a way, that’s a good thing, cause it means I have been busy!

There are a lot of “National ___ Month” in October. Breast Cancer Awaremess Month, National Dental Hygiene Month, and Cyber Security Awareness Month.
The one that is closest to my heart is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This is something that I went thru, ten years ago.
I have done a lot of speaking to various groups about Domestic Violence. Nearly every time I speak to law enforcement, one of the officers will ask me where I think I would be today, if I had stayed in that marriage. I tell them “I think I would be dead. I think he would have killed melf and our children by now.” They always agree with me, and comment that they wanted to know if I was aware of that.
Most people think that DV is only if he is beating the snot out of you Here you physically. Yes, that is one part of it, but there is so very much more. The physical scars heal pretty fast, but the emotional scars….I am still working on healing those, ten years later.

I am praying that NO one is in a dangerous situation. I am also praying that you will read this site a little bit, to be able to help anyone you may know that living this nightmare.

To Do Lists
Do you have one of these pesky things? Mine seems to get things added to it each night, while I am sleeping!
Personally, I think that’s just mean.
Today, my list includes:
*working on my Christmas Cards (hint, hint, order yours soon!)
*running my dad to the doctor (just a check up, he’s 88 now)
*plan the family reunion for next month
*unload dishwasher
*fold and put away clean laundry
*feed the dogs
*list somethings on craigslist
*work some more on my business class homework
I think I am going to stop there, since it is almost 11 am, and I am going to be gone for the afternoon!

Getting Ready for Another Show!

I’m back in the saddle again. OK, I will quit singing. I went to business class again and got a LOT of information. I am ready to go on this again!
